    The Classic Friar’s Recipe is a food supplement made with Aloe Arborescens gel without the outer leaf layer, honey and grain distillate, prepared following the formulation made famous by Father Romano Zago.

     Aloe Arborescens is naturally rich in components found in the inner gel of the leaf, while honey helps enhance the characteristics of the preparation.

    Vonderweid has been making this product in Italy for over twenty years, using Aloe grown outdoors and processed according to controlled procedures.

  • Honey, Aloe Arborescens (Aloe arborescens Mill.*, rind-free gel), wheat distillate, acidity regulator: citric acid.

    (*) from organic farming.



  • Aloe has an emollient and soothing effect on the digestive system and supports the body's cleansing functions.

    It promotes intestinal and liver well-being.

    Honey is a natural source of easily assimilated energy.

  • Concentrated product to dilute in a glass of water (±250 ml).

    It is recommended to take one coffee spoon (3 ml) three times a day for 2/3 days.

    Then one soup spoon (approximately 10.5 g) three times a day, preferably half an hour before consuming other foods.

    The content of functional ingredients per daily dose (31,5 g) is:

    • Honey: 17,61 g
    • Aloe Arborescens gel without peel: 13,22 g
    • Wheat distillate: 0,63 g

  • Store tightly closed, in a cool place and protected from light. Once the package has been opened, store it in the refrigerator and use the contents within approximately 20 days.

  • Mix/shake carefully before use. Keep out of reach of children under three years of age.

    Food supplements should not be considered a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

    Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the product in its intact packaging and stored correctly.
